Makerbase MKS UPS module detects the interruption of the power supply and raises the Z-axis to avoid damaging the model. When the power supply is restored, the 3D printing job can be resumed via an LCD2004 / LCD12864.
Working process
1. When the AC power supply is cut off, the MKS UPS detects it and sends a signal to the motherboard;
2. The power stored in the MKS UPS and PSU continues to supply power to the motherboard;
3. Motherboard detects the power-off signal, stops printing, turns off hotbed and hotend, lifts z-axis;
4. The power stored in MKS UPS is generally lifted z-axis 20mm-200mm; 5. When the power supply is restored, resume printing through the 12864/2004 LCD screen.
Note:
1. MKS UPS12V can only be used for DC12V power.
2. Motherboard needs to use Marlin2.0 firmware with 12864/2004 LCD screen.
3. Temporarily does not support the MKS Robin series (except Robin E3/E3D) and MKS TFT screen.
4. MKS UPS12V modules detect external AC power supply.
Features:
- Must use DC12V power
- The module detects AC power, which is more sensitive and faster than using voltage comparison
- You need to use marlin2.0 and enable POWER_LOSS_RECOVERY and enable BACKUP_POWER_SUPPLY
- The module can lift Z axis 20mm or more
