Brand: Adafruit
Category: Pressure Sensor

Bosch has long been a leader in barometric pressure sensors, and the latest is the Adafruit BMP390 (also known as BMP390L). This advanced sensor offers improved precision for environmental sensing and serves as a reliable altimeter. It supports both I2C and SPI configurations, with a remarkable relative accuracy of ±3 Pascals (about ±0.25 meters of altitude), making it superior to its predecessors, the BMP280 and BMP388.

Designed for applications like drones and wearables, it measures temperature with ±0.5°C accuracy. The BMP390 comes pre-soldered onto a custom PCB in the STEMMA QT format, allowing easy interfacing with development boards through solderless connections. It also includes a 3.3V regulator and level shifting for compatibility with 3V and 5V microcontrollers.

Features:

  1. High Precision: : Relative accuracy of ±3 Pascals (approximately ±0.25 meters of altitude).
  2. Low Altitude Noise: : Low noise as low as 0.1 meters.
  3. Dual Interface Options: : Supports both I2C and SPI configurations for flexible connectivity.
  4. Fast Conversion Time: Maintains quick data readings similar to previous models.
  5. Temperature Measurement:  Measures temperature with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.
  6. STEMMA QT Compatibility: Soldered onto a PCB in the STEMMA QT form factor for easy interfacing.
  7. Compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors for solderless connections.
  8. Integrated Voltage Regulation: Includes a 3.3V regulator and level shifting for use with 3V or 5V logic microcontrollers.
  9. Versatile Applications: Suitable for drones, quadcopters, wearables, and projects tracking height above sea level.
  10. User-Friendly Design: Easy to connect with other sensors and accessories using compatible cables (QT Cable not included).

Specifications:
  1. Pressure Measurement Range: 300 to 1100 hPa
  2. Pressure Accuracy: ±3 Pascals (±0.25 meters altitude)
  3. Altitude Measurement Range: Up to 9000 meters
  4. Low Noise Level: 0.1 meters
  5. Temperature Measurement Range: -40°C to +85°C
  6. Temperature Accuracy: ±0.5°C
  7. Communication Interfaces: I2C: 0x76 or 0x77 address , SPI: 3- or 4-wire configuration
  8. Power Supply Voltage: 1.71V to 3.6V (3.3V recommended)
