VEML7700 is a user-friendly lux sensor that integrates easily with microcontrollers. Unlike typical sensors that provide vague brighter/darker readings, the VEML7700 Light Sensor calculates lux values for consistent measurements.
This Light Sensor features a 16-bit dynamic range, detecting ambient light from 0 lux to 120 klux with a resolution of 0.0036 lx/ct and adjustable gain and integration times. The sensor uses a simple I2C interface and comes on a breakout board with a 3.3V regulator and logic level shifter, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems. Libraries for Arduino and CircuitPython are available, allowing for use with various devices, including Raspberry Pi.
With SparkFun qwiic-compatible STEMMA QT connectors, the sensor offers a no-solder, plug-and-play setup. Simply connect it to your favorite microcontroller using a STEMMA QT adapter cable
