This is an 8 PIN JST MALE ST 2.54mm. This is a wire-to-board connector. It is very small with a mounting height of 9.8 mm. It is a crimp-style connector and a disconnect table type. It is a top-entry version. The male connector has a spacing of 0.1′(2.54 mm) and can be easily soldered onto a standard prototype board.

The wires need to be crimped to the terminal, which in turn can be fitted into this female connector, which will be connected to a male connector soldered on any board. It has a good locking mechanism and requires force to remove the female connector from the male connector on board. Thereby removing the problem of unwanted disconnection.
