Getting Started & Setting Up
To start using the Raspberry Pi 5x, we need to do few things first to set up the Raspberry Pi OS.
Download the latest Pi Imager tool for your particular operating system from here. And install it.
After installing it, open it up and select the board, and the particular type of OS you'd like to run.
We'd be going with 64-bit with desktop environment for ease of use.
Press next and start the process, it might take some time, as it is downloading and writing the files onto the SD Card.
Once it finishes copying of all the files over to the the card, it'll auto eject and say the card is ready. Take out the card, and slot it into the Raspberry Pi's micro sd card slot.
On powering up for the first time, it will take lil bit of extra time as this is it's first time. But from the next time onwards it wont. And once you've booted up into the desktop, you're ready to use it as you see fit.
You can browse the internet, watch youtube, run programs, play games, do anything you'd like to do.
Conclusion
In short, this new variant of Raspberry Pi 5 2GB version is going to fit most of the basic needs where we wont be needing that much of RAM. Like people who are trying to get into or getting started with Raspberry Pi and electronics and programming.Â
Also, since this has just 2GB of RAM, it is much more palatable for people who just wanna make simpler projects.
